چکیده

The Blue swimming crab Portunus pelagicus which comes from subphylum Crustacea, specifically the Portunidae family, is one of potential crabs that have high economic value in Labuhanbatu regency. This study aimed to reveal information on condition factors and population growth pattern P. ecosystem Berombang river estuary. was conducted November 2021 January 2022, using purposive random sample method determining sampling points. In collecting samples pelagicus, researchers used fish traps called bubu with fresh as bait. Results showed negatively allometric, values for males females were 1.1552 2.2727, respectively. Furthermore, results correlation analysis between physical-chemical waters abundance indicated positive for water temperature (0.835), dissolved oxygen (DO) (0.778), salinity (0.726) had an effect presence pelagicus.

Two isoforms of anti-lipopolysaccharide factors identified and characterized from the hemocytes of portunid crabs, Portunus pelagicus and Scylla tranquebarica.

Anti-lipopolysaccharide factors (ALFs), a type of cationic antimicrobial peptides (AMPs), and their derivatives are becoming predominant candidates for potential drugs in viral and bacterial diseases. This study reports the first ALF from the mud crab Scylla tranquebarica (StALF, JQ899453) and the second ALF isoform from the blue swimmer crab Portunus pelagicus (PpALF2, JQ899452).
